Harford Co. Launches Snow Plow Tracking Service

BEL AIR, Md. (WJZ)—Harford County residents can now track how clear their local roads are during major storms with a new tracking service.

Officials say the Harford County Government will launch their snow plow tracking service only during major weather events and can be accessed via computer, smartphone, or tablet device.

Users will be able to see the county map where plows have been and where they are currently plowing. The map will be updated every 15 minutes, officials say.

"As my incoming administration asks how we can help our customers, the citizens of Harford County, I am pleased to offer this service for folks to see where our county plows are hard at work. I also want to thank our dedicated employees who advanced my initiative improving service to the public through technology," Mr. Glassman said.

The tracking service does not include state or municipal roadways.
