Investigators Focus On Cause Of Deadly Md. Mansion Fire

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Investigators are back at the scene of a massive fire that reduced an Annapolis-area mansion to rubble.

They're focused on finding out what caused the early-morning fire on Jan. 19, believed to have killed Don and Sandra Pyle and their four grandchildren, two sets of siblings ages 6 to 8.

Investigators recovered the last of six bodies believed to have been in the rubble on Monday, one week after the blaze destroyed the 16,000-square-foot waterfront mansion.

Anne Arundel Fire Department spokesman Capt. Russ Davies says that now that all those dead are believed to be accounted for, investigators can focus solely on the unanswered questions, including how the fire started and why the family couldn't get out in time.

Davies says he anticipates operations to continue for another two days.
