Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Part Of Md.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A winter weather advisory has been issued for counties north and west of the Baltimore metro area. It goes into effect at 7 p.m. Sunday and will expire at 8 a.m. Monday.

The center of low pressure associated with the storm will track north of the area, which means that we will primarily be dealing with rain. However, it's expected that the storm will begin as snow or a wintry mix and end as snow or a wintry mix Monday morning.

This means that Monday's rush hour could be messy. Drivers are asked to leave extra time to get to work.

The other part of the story are the cold temperatures. We're at below average temperatures, and that's expected to continue for the next few days.
