Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Man He Lured By Craigslist Ad

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A Millersville man has pleaded guilty to fatally shooting another man he lured to a parking lot with a Craigslist ad offering to sale a car.

Thirty-five-year-old Gregory Lewis pleaded guilty on Monday to first-degree murder in the death of 44-year-old Rene Leiva-Archila of Baltimore.

Prosecutors say on Oct. 31, 2013, Leiva-Archila and his 19-year-old son went to a parking lot in Harmans to meet a man who advertised he was selling a car. Authorities say when Lewis arrived at the parking lot, he announced a robbery and shot Leiva-Archila. His son ran away and called police.

Lewis was arrested on March 7, 2014. As part of his plea agreement, prosecutors say Lewis will be sentenced to 60 years in prison on Feb. 18.
