More Than Two Dozen Accidents Reported Due To Icy Conditions

BALTIMORE (WJZ) --  A wet night in Baltimore is causing some icy roadways this morning.

Marty Bass and the entire WJZ morning team is reporting on conditions.

Roads are icy out there this morning after freezing rain fell across parts of Maryland, including Baltimore city.

Sharon Gibala is reporting that there are more than two dozen accidents along major roadways Tuesday morning, creating delays. One accident on Route 100 eastbound at 97 is blocking all lanes.

People will need to make some extra time this morning to warm up their cars and scrape off the ice, as Mike Schuh reports from Anne Arundel County.

Ron Matz is also reporting icy conditions from Baltimore city.

It will be a bad out there for anyone walking or driving in some locations. Reduce your speed and allow extra distance between cars.

Expect traffic issues,  when you're getting ready to leave for school and work.

By Tuesday afternoon, it will be well above freezing. We could see more wintry weather later in the week.
