Man Not Criminally Responsible in Healthcare Facility Assault
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Lamont Stafford, 40, is not criminally responsible in the NMS Healthcare facility assault.
On Tuesday, February 10, 2015, Stafford pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree rape, according to the Herald-Mail.
The prosecutors dropped all charges after his medical condition of schizophrenia was told to the court.
Now, the man is to be in a mental-health facility until he does not pose to be a danger to himself or others. In 2012, Stafford was seen on top of an 89-year-old woman who suffers from Alzheimer's disease and was strapped to her bed.
