Crews Rescue Child Stranded On Pier

EDGEWATER, Md. (WJZ) -- Crews saved a child who was stranded on an old pier.

According to police, it happened at Chesapeake Drive and Oakford Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

Officials say two children walked onto an old pier. One was able to save himself but the other child had to be rescued. The pier seems to be rickety and in poor repair.

No injuries were reported.
