WEATHER BLOG: Colder Air Coming Our Way
HI Everyone!
One day closer to Spring. And there you have it.
I want to throw out big props to Mike Schuh who, this morning, has been out live two or three times an hour for 4 1/2 hours. I know it is our job but he was asked to go WAY above and beyond. WAY ABOVE. I know we can get inside the vehicle but we cannot close the back of the SUV due to cables, and such. So "the Beast', (as we call the Mobile Weather Lab), never really gets warm. WAY ABOVE.
And the REAL cold air is not here yet.
This morning it was -3 here on TV Hill, essentially 41st Street and the JFX. Tomorrow it will be -17. I love all these people, today, saying "Brutal cold!!" Well if this AM was "Brutal cold" then what is tomorrow going to be. Try describing that without a "blue" word. Good luck!
Looking like Sunday will be a warm and rainy day!! Whoa, there is a change. That is another Winter Storm to be honest, but this one is moving toward Michigan and ALL of the guidance agrees we will be on the warm side of it. SWEET! Of course it will get colder, again, on Monday-Tuesday but nothing like we are dealing with now.
Mike Schuh, and his photographer, will appreciate that.
