Terps' Melo Trimble Is Watch List Finalist For Cousy Award

BALTIMORE (WJZ-FM) – Maryland freshman Melo Trimble has been named one of 16 watch list finalists for the 2015 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award.

Trimble is having a strong season &  leads the 16th ranked Maryland Terrapins with a team best 16.1 points per game. Trimble also leads the Terps in assists (84) and steals (37).

The Bob Cousy Award is an annual award given by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame to the top men's collegiate point guard. It is named after six-time NBA champion Bob Cousy.

The 16 watch list finalists were trimmed from the original 35 candidates. The list will be narrowed down to 5 players in March & the winner will be presented the award in April.
