Brian joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Ravens salary cap and how the Ravens can keep Haloti Ngata.
Brian started out talking about if this is the worst cap situation the Ravens have ever been in saying “No it’s certainly not dire, this is probably the worst cap situation since 2011…right now they’re about $4 under the cap counting 49 players who are under contract.” As for what is the status of Haloti Ngata and the Ravens negotiations Brian said “yeah certainly the word right now is that they’re not close…he seems like a guy who wants to stay but he certainly has some leverage on his side.” Brian went on to talk more in depth about how the Ngata situation could be worked out by comparing it to Terrell Suggs last year and how those numbers broke down and the negotiations turned out.
