8 Vehicles Involved In Baltimore County Chain Reaction Crash

HUNT VALLEY, Md. (WJZ) — A serious crash shuts down a major stretch of road in Baltimore County.

York Road was closed in both directions Monday between Shawan Road and Schilling Road in Hunt Valley.

Police say a vehicle believed to be speeding struck another vehicle, starting a chain reaction crash.

In total, eight vehicles were involved. Two were completely on their sides.

Six people were taken to area hospitals. None of their injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

York Road was reopened several hours later.
