Mike Hill Weighs In On The NFL, NBA And Boxing

Mike Hill of Fox Sports 1 joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to go around the world of sports. Mike believes that he crazy first few days of NFL free agency have benefited the league as a whole.  "Everything that's happening right now has been great for the NFL. I know the Baltimore Ravens, you guys, you lost some pretty big guys yourself, with Torrey Smith leaving. But, I believe in Ozzie, I believe in that coach you guys have there [John Harbaugh], and I believe that they'll always be a contender in the AFC North."

In a wild Western Conference in the NBA, Mike believes the awards race will be close at the end of the year. "I love the NBA, it's one of my favorite sports to cover outside the NFL. But, the MVP race has been the hit topic that we've been talking about. You got four guys right now that are legit contenders. You got Westbrook and the amazing run he's been on, helping them trying to keep in the western conference race.  LeBron, every single year is an MVP candidate. No matter who the MVP is that year LeBron is still the best player on the planet. Steph, in Golden State, with the best record in the western conference right now, is incredible. And James Harden without Dwight Howard is having a phenomenal season as well. But if I were to pick, right now, I would pick Steph Curry as my MVP."

The world is finally getting the fight we have been waiting for, and Mike is setting himself up for disappointment. "I don't see how it can (live up to the hype) to be completely honest with you . We've been waiting a long time, maybe five or six years for this fight to get done, now, these boxers (Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao) are at the end of their prime of their careers, they're on the downside of their careers. But, it's the only boxing match anybody wants to see. "
