Gronk Talks About Winning The Ed Block Courage Award

New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk about what it means to win the Ed Block Courage Award. Gronk takes a big amount of pride in the fact that his teammates recognized the work he had done in the community. "Definitely special, especially when your teammates notice the hard work and dedication you put in. Just the level of respect that they've given you and I definitely want to keep it rolling and keep working hard and putting the right example on for teammates and guys coming in, and guys that just want to keep working hard and keep pushing everyone."

Rob has been hampered by injuries his whole career, he talked about how he was able to get back to such a high-level of play and what had driven him to get back on the field. "You just gotta keep working hard, you've gotta put your mind too it and you've got to have determination and focus throughout the whole process. You can't really slack and take any days off, when you take days off you get behind. It was about an 8-10 month process just trying to get back."

The Pats have come close to winning the Super Bowl multiple times in Gronk's tenure with the team falling just short in Super Bowl 41 and losing multiple AFC Championship Games. He discussed the feeling when he was finally a Super Bowl champion. "The emotions are unbelievable, you just put so much and dedication in to get to that point, to get to a Super Bowl. To get that win is just an unbelievable feeling. You feel like hard work does pay off, and it makes you wanna work just that much harder."
