Police: Woman Assaulted, 2 Dogs Injured In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A dangerous attacker is on the run. Baltimore police are searching for the man they say attacked a woman and did something terrible to her two dogs. Abuse so bad, one dog had to be put down.

Christie Ileto has exclusive details in the case.

The landlord let WJZ inside the home where the vicious attack happened. It's where she says police found the dogs that's most disturbing.

A savage assault against a woman and two dogs. Police are now hunting Brandon Gulliver--a man they believe knew his victim. The 26-year-old is now wanted for domestic assault and aggravated animal cruelty.

"This is a suspect who not only assaulted the victim in this case, but the suspect also assaulted two defenseless dogs that were inside the house," said Jeremy Silbert, Baltimore City Police Department.

The woman's injuries are non-life threatening, but the same can't be said for the two dogs.

Reporter: "Where did police find the dog?"

Landlord: "The police told me down here."

Reporter: "In that oven?"

Landlord: "Yes."

Reporter: "Police told you the dog was found in the oven?"

Landlord: "That is what the police told me."

Police have not confirmed that, but Joan Lilly--the landlord of the Westwood Avenue home where Gulliver and the victim were staying--spoke exclusively with WJZ.

"Crazy. Even now. I wonder how in the hell is somebody going to put dogs in there. Dogs in there. You don't put animals in there," said Lilly.

One of the dogs was so heinously hurt police say it had to be put down.

The residents of the home refused to talk to WJZ, but the damage inside tells a very violent story.

Police are asking anyone with information on Gulliver's whereabouts to call 911.

Animal Control is also investigating.
