Anyone that knows about basketball knows about the famed Grant twins, Harvey and Horace, who played for years in the NBA and brought much success to their family. Now, the legacy is continuing on and it's in Harvey's son Jerian Grant, who has excelled while at Notre Dame and hopes to keep it going in the NBA.

Jerian Grant helped lead the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to a 32-6 record in 2014-2015 and an Elite 8 berth in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. They contested unbeaten Kentucky more than any other team has this entire season and tournament, and they came so very close to moving on to the Final Four.

When the game was over, Kentucky had notched a 68-66 victory over Notre Dame, and Jerian grant's career with the Irish was over. He wasn't ready for it to be.

“Just to be so close to making history, from doing something so special and just like that it’s over …,” Grant said in in the locker room after the game.. “I just really want to be able to keep playing with these guys.”

He's done nothing but lead the Irish this season and he's done it by leading the team in points per game with 16.5. Grant also leads the team in assists with 6.7 per game and minutes played as he's chalking up over 37 minutes per contest.

Grant's numbers are down a bit from his junior season, but only in points as he had 19 per game then. He has come a long way from his early college years when he was scoring 12.3 per game as a freshmen and then 13.3 as a sophomore.

He's no stranger to having to play a lot though, as Grant averaged 36.3 minutes per game over his four-year career at Notre Dame. That is something that a lot of NBA teams look for, and it's the stamina to play for a full 48 minutes if need be.

Some believe that there may be added pressure on the shoulders of Jerian Grant due to having his father Harvey as a former NBA star and his uncle Horace as well. That's not even to mention that his oldest brother Jerai Grant has played professional basketball around the world while younger brother Jerami Grant is already a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Jerian grant doesn't think he has any added pressure as he just goes out there and plays the game he loves to play while being great at it. It showed this season in the way he led Notre Dame to an Elite 8 appearance and so close to the Final Four.

Now, Jerian Grant will likely find a place with an NBA team, but it won't be due to his family legacy. His time in the world of professional basketball will come about because of his talent, agility, professionalism, and leadership skills that have shown for years already.
