WEATHER BLOG: Mostly Sunny & 65

Winds have subsided from our blustery Saturday and shifted out of the west.

Today will be a warmer day, with a blend of sun and clouds. Highs will reach the mid 60s as the boundary will be to our north.

By Monday, the boundary will remain to our north, allowing warmer air to move into the area. Temperatures Monday will be quite warm, in the lower 70s for most (slightly cooler near the water).

By Monday night, clouds will increase as warm advection continues ahead of a wave of low pressure.

On Tuesday, we will still be south of the boundary, which will allow temperatures to reach the 70s once again. Showers will be around Tuesday as warm advection is ongoing and the boundary begins to sink southward. By Wednesday, model guidance is in agreement that the boundary will stay to our north, keeping temperatures in the 60s.

With respect to rainfall, Wednesday is another tricky day. Timing of disturbances is slightly different on various model guidance, and this impacts rainfall timing. As of now, due to uncertainty, I worded the Wednesday forecast as a bit of rain and drizzle.

Uncertainty is quite high with respect to when the boundary will move through our area. It depends on how quickly an area of high pressure noses in from the north during Wednesday. Once the boundary passes, temperatures will drop into the 50s with an easterly flow. With high uncertainty, temperatures forecasts will be tricky, and there very well may be a large spread of temperatures across the area Wednesday with highest temperatures to the southwest. Guidance looks warm Tuesday evening with the Wednesday high temp occurring in the morning, and most likely falling during the day.

Cool, easterly flow will be the main theme Thursday with temperatures in the 50s. With respect to rain, it actually could end up being dry. Due to the moist easterly flow, drizzle or a shower is quite possible.

Another area of low pressure will ride along the boundary by Friday, pushing it back north of our region, and flipping the winds back out of the southwest. Temperatures will rebound to near 70 despite some rain. Rain and temperatures in the upper 60s will continue into Saturday before we could potentially dry out by Sunday.

Have a good day!
