Big Ten Coach Of The Year Brenda Frese Reflects On Her Season
The Maryland women's head basketball coach joined Rob to talk about the recent vacancies on her coaching staff. She told us that to describe her phone as "blowing up" would be an understatement. Not only has she been fielding requests for her assistant coaches, she's also been getting her fair share of coaches wanting to work with her.
Brenda and Rob also talk about the state of women's college basketball, and what can be done to get the rest of the countries women's programs to the level of Geno Auriemma's Huskies. The Terps fell to the Huskies in the NCAA tournament and coach explains why. She's proud of the way her team fought in the first half of that Final Four clash, but recognized that UConn took over in the second half and were just too much. Looking forward, her view on the future of the program is very bright.
