Funeral Planned For 8 Found Dead In Md. Home

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) -- A funeral is planned next weekend for a Maryland father and his seven children who died of carbon monoxide poisoning at their home.

The funeral for Rodney Todd and his children will be held April 18 at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. A viewing is set to begin at 10 a.m. and funeral services are planned for 1 p.m. at the Ella Fitzgerald Center for the Performing Arts.

Police say Todd and his children were poisoned in their sleep days after the power company discovered a stolen meter and cut off electricity to their Princess Anne home. Todd put a generator in his kitchen. They were last seen alive on March 28 and were found dead Monday.

The Bennie Smith Funeral Home says a burial location hasn't been announced.
