Police: 3 Found Dead Inside Baltimore County Home

PARKVILLE, Md. (WJZ)—A father, mother, and 15-year-old daughter were all found dead inside a home Friday afternoon in Baltimore County.

Baltimore County police say they're now investigating this as a murder-suicide.

With bags of evidence in hand, a quiet Parkville neighborhood turns into a crime scene.

"It's shocking that something like this would happen here," one neighbor said.

The call came in around 4:30 p.m. Friday from a concerned employer who said 40-year-old Vedrana Mendoza never showed up for work.

The neighbor that lives here says she noticed their cars didn't leave here this morning and that's unusual for their behavior.

When police arrived at her home along the 1800 block of Cromwood Road they found the 40-year-old, her 50-year-old husband Gilbert and their 15-year-old daughter Molly--a 9th grader at Loch Raven High School all dead inside.

"A knife and a gun were used during the incident, we have recovered the gun from the home, the gun was registered to a person in the home," said Cpl. John Wachter, Baltimore County Police.

Neighbors who knew the family describe them as a "tight-knit"-- quiet household that lived on the block for more than 15 years.

Terry Miley says she just saw the father, Gilbert last night and never noticed anything out of the normal.

"Gil was very gracious enough to help out, he brought some wheelbarrows over...he was very ready to help anybody, he loved his family, he was teaching his daughter how to drive," she said.

A tragic discovery rocking the entire neighborhood.

"It's so sad, so very sad, they were wonderful people," said Miley.

Police say they're still waiting on autopsy results to confirm officially whether or not it's a murder suicide
