Showtime Boxing Analyst Steve Farhood Reviews Mayweather Vs Pacquiao
Steve Farhood is a boxing historian and analyst for Showtime.
Steve joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Mayweather/Pacqiuao fight, and Manny's injury.
Steve started off by talking about the possibility Manny Pacquiao hid an injury prior to the fight saying "if you're a consumer how else can you look at this except that Manny Pacquiao lied to you for a steep price." As for any reasons Manny may have hid the injury Steve said "given the difficulty in putting the fight together in the first place they may have been scared that if they pulled out the fight may have never happened." Steve also talked about Floyd Mayweather's style of fighting and how boxing purists appreciate it but the average fan who wants a brawl will always hate his style and feel like they were cheated on the PPV price. Finally Steve talked about some up and coming fighters who may be the future of the weight class when Floyd's time is up.
