Baby Chimp Born At Md. Zoo Looking For Surrogate Mother

TAMPA, Fla. (WJZ) -- A chimpanzee born at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore will have a new mother just in time for Mother's Day.

Four-week-old Keeva was being nurtured by zookeepers after her birth mother didn't take to parenthood.

A foster mother was then found at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa.

Keeva has arrived in Tampa and will be introduced to Abby.

The 32-year-old adult chimp has already raised three adopted babies.
