BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After 12 years, Ed Reed is officially retiring.

Reed will make his announcement Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Ravens training facility in Owings Mills.

Reed played 11 years as a Raven, keeping quarterbacks and offensive coordinators on edge.

His 64 career interceptions rank sixth all time in NFL history. He also had the most interception return yards with 1,590.

Now the Ravens will honor No. 20 in their Ring of Honor during the franchise's 20th anniversary season.
