WEATHER BLOG: Sunday

The surface map this afternoon shows a weak cold front stretched from central Maine southwest into the Adirondacks to southern Michigan and Ana well off to our south. This front will stall off to our north through tomorrow. As Ana lifts northward tomorrow, we notice precipitable waters come up across the region. The combination of more moisture and the continued warmth will bring us a better chance for some spotty showers or t-storms by tomorrow afternoon/evening. Ana will continue to weaken and should slide by to our southeast tomorrow night and get carried out to sea Tuesday. An occluded cold front will move through Tuesday AM, ushering in noticeably drier air by the afternoon. Since the true cold front is not quite through yet, we will cover for a spotty shower or thunderstorm, but we should not be playing up the prospects for precip on that day as it could very well turn out dry.
