Joe Beninati Believes The Capitals Can Win A Close Game Seven

Joe Beninati is the Capitals play by play announcer for Comcast Sportsnet.

Joe joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Capitals vs Rangers game 7 tonight in New York.

Joe started off by talking about the painful playoff history of the Capitals but offered some optimism saying "I understand completely why Caps fans feel tortured by this team throughout the years...there is something inside of me that believes this Washington team can and will do it." Joe also believes "I expect 8 and 19 to rise up tonight they have to, your best players have to be the best in a game 7 and Ovie, Backstrom, and Holtby have to be great tonight." Joe also spent some time trying to talk pessimistic Caps fans off the ledge with the possibility of another playoff collapse looming saying "I'm so sick of Caps fans, myself included, expecting the worst...at some point Lucy has to let Charlie Brown kick the football."
