Gunshot Killed Man Found Injured In Salisbury Home

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a man found fatally injured in the entrance of a Salisbury home had been shot, and his death was a homicide.

Troopers say in a news release Monday that they were working to identify suspects in the slaying Sunday of 20-year-old James Skinner.

Investigators say the homeowner of the residence where Skinner was found wounded is a friend of his family, and Skinner had been living there for two months.

Police say early Sunday, the homeowner was in the home when several people entered. Investigators say there was no sign of forced entry.

Troopers say there was a confrontation between Skinner and the suspects, and Skinner was shot. The homeowner was not hurt, officers say, and she called police when she found Skinner.
