Man Accused Of Killing Rockville Couple Transported To Md.

ROCKVILLE, Md. (WJZ) – The man accused of killing a Rockville couple on Mother's Day was transported from Alaska Friday night and is being held without bond in Montgomery County, police said.

31-year-old Scott Tomaszewski was arrested on May 16th  in Alaska after the cruise ship he was on— docked in Juneau, Alaska.

On May 10, 2015, 65-year-old Richard Vilardo and his wife 67-year-old Julianne Vilardo were found dead at their Rockville home.

Police say one of the two victims was found inside the home, the other outside in the backyard–the crime scene extending into the woods near the home. Both victims had trauma to their upper bodies, police said.

Police say they were murdered sometime after returning from dinner with friends in Charles Town, West Virginia. Police believe the Vilardos were killed during a burglary.

Tomaszewski is scheduled for bond review on Monday, June 1 at 1:00 p.m. in Rockville.
