WEATHER BLOG: Rain Expected

Hi Everyone,

Well, the alerts are flying this AM… enough rain expected that at noon, flooding advisories will go into effect through tomorrow morning. Text sent, or emails sent by the National Weather Service are a really interesting way to keep up with breaking weather news. Until you sign up for them, or get things like our weather app, you just don't realize how active the weather reporting community is.

(Speaking of our weather app.. I know we always talk about it on the air, but this deal is legit. Shameless self promotion is not the reason I refer to it. That app works. Your call to download it or not... enough said.)

Last night during that spate of thunderstorms, I received no less than nine alerts. But to be honest, even more "fly" during winter weather.. But still, with all this high tech the earth, will still be the variable in any forecast, and thus any forecast is a best guess, at that time, given the data. Yesterday turned out a lot better than expected, but the outlook did not change, just got pushed back. It's today the that the foulest weather will come in as opposed to yesterday afternoon.

Generally speaking, a cool week, and until Thursday, a cloudy one, too. Normals are now 79/57. The upper 60s to low 70s our expected temps Tuesday to Thursday.

Not great weather, but after today, at least calm. Those alerts hitting our mobile devices and computer inboxes  should end tomorrow AM.
