Jeannine Edwards On The Thrill Of Covering The Triple Crown

Jeannine Edwards is a sportscaster for ESPN focusing on college sports and horse racing.

Jeannine joined Ed and Steve to talk about American Pharoah winning the Triple Crown and being around the horse prior to the race.

Jeannine started off by talking about what it was like to be there for the Triple Crown victory saying "I have covered nine prior attempts at a Triple Crown...it's so hard to get your hopes up when you've seen nine prior horses fail, when it did happen I literally had chills I had tears in my eyes and Belmont Park the roar was unending." As for American Pharoah's behavior Jeannine said "he is the sweetest most docile race horse I've ever been around and I've spent a long time working with race horses and have one myself...there were people petting him and kissing him for a good 7 or 8 minutes and never moved a muscle."
