Man Injured After Tuesday Morning Shooting

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- A man is recovering in a Baltimore hospital after suffering from a gunshot wound this morning.

City police officers responded to a report at the 1300 block of W. Lexington Street around 7 a.m. to find a man shot in the lower torso.

Although his injuries are non-life threatening, the incident supports the increasing rate of homicides in the area.

According to Baltimore County Police, there have been 128 homicide cases in 2015.
