Delegation Of Maryland Businesses Headed To Paris Air Show

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A delegation of Maryland businesses is headed to the Paris Air Show.

The delegation, which is being led by Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford, is leaving Saturday.

The world's largest aerospace industry event begins on Monday. Maryland will have a 60-square meter booth where participating Maryland businesses can show their products and services.

Rutherford says the show has more than 2,200 exhibitors from 44 countries. He says the show helps connect Maryland businesses with new opportunities for trade and investment.

The delegation will travel to Normandy on Thursday to tour an American cemetery dedicated to the 29th Division, which was composed primarily of National Guardsmen from Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. There are 144 Marylanders buried in the cemetery.
