'Light Up Lexington' Returns For A Third Time

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Lexington Market vendors will collaborate with local restaurants tonight to put on their free, quarterly "Light Up Lexington" event series.

Featuring live music and a unique array of new food collaborations between market vendors and Baltimore-based restaurants, The World Famous Lexington Market and Bromo Tower Arts & Entertainment, Inc. hope to introduce new food and new people to the city hotspot.

The event begins at 5 pm with a local brew and wine show. The evening will continue with chef-vendor collaborations from 6 pm-9 pm. Vendors include, but are not limited to, Faidley's Seafood, Drudley's Fries and Park's Hamburgers. All dishes will be under $10.

Singer, poet and performance artist, Femi the DriFish, will emcee the event.

Guests can also enjoy live musical performances by jazz pianist and composer Lafayette Gilchrist and the New Volcanoes, featuring the beat boxing rhythms of special guest Shodekeh. Other performers include DJ James Nasty and the blues-funk sound of The Ursula Ricks Project.

Free validated parking will be available in the surface parking lot adjacent to the market Arcade off Eutaw Street.
