MASN's Mike Bordick Breaks Down The AL East

Mike Bordick of MASN Sports joined the Scott Garceau Show to break down the AL East heading into the All Star Break.

Mike weighed in on the strengths and weaknesses of the birds. "The orioles are a well-rounded team. They've had good pitching, the bullpen has been solid, great defense, and they were swinging the bat obviously. The team goes through the ups and downs more so offensively rather than pitching and defensively. When the starting rotation will start to settle in, you'll see some great performances"

Darren O'Day made his first All Star Game this year; Mike commented on O'day's season so far, "Watching him pitch is more fun for me than watching any other guy pitch. He's like a teacher out there, he's a student of the game, he understands hitters, and he understands his pitches. Seeing him work through a count, or 3 outs is so fun to watch."

Mike also broke down the rest of the AL East heading into the All Star break, "I'm really surprised the Yankees have been able to stay where they are. Even though there have been injuries, they've had some young guys step in there, the test for them is to see if they will be able to hold on. Toronto is scary only because of how well they've played against us this year. And Tampa might be there because of their pitching, but they'll be getting all of their starters back."
