Police Investigating Baltimore Man Fatally Shot During Home Invasion

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say a resident fatally shot a man who was trying to break into his Upper Marlboro home.

Prince George's County Police say the unidentified resident called 911 early Monday to report he had shot someone who had been trying to break into his home.

Police say when officers arrived at the home, they found 30-year-old Craig Ivan Corbin Jr., of Baltimore, with a gunshot wound. Police say Corbin was trying to climb into the window of the house when he was shot.

Officials say Corbin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the resident and Corbin had a prior romantic relationship.

No one else was hurt. The investigation is ongoing and authorities say they are trying to determine whether charges should be filed in the case.
