WEATHER BLOG: Severe Weather Ahead?

We are currently sandwiched between high pressure offshore and an approaching cold front. This quiet pattern will last through tonight, then more unsettled weather arrives tomorrow. As things become more active with showers and t-storms in the forecast on Wednesday, we will have to watch for the potential for drenching and perhaps flooding downpours with dew points near or above 70 degrees. A flash flood watch has been issued for Garrett County in western Maryland and goes into effect starting at 8PM tonight.
