Pena-Melnyk Reports Raising $210K For Congressional Bid

LAUREL, Md. (AP) -- Del. Joseline Pena-Melnyk is reporting she has raised $210,000 since filing to run for Congress.

She announced Monday evening she will be reporting the amount to the Federal Elections Commission this week.

Pena-Melnyk represents Prince George's County in the Maryland House of Delegates. She is seeking the Democratic nomination for the 4th District Congressional seat now held by Democratic Rep. Donna Edwards, who is running for Senate.

Former Prince George's County State's Attorney Glenn Ivey announced Monday he has raised $275,000 in the second quarter for his race to the nomination.

Former Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Del. Dereck Davis also are running. Ingrid Turner, a member of the Prince George's County Council, and Warren Christopher also are running.
