Mike Bordick Thinks The Orioles Need A Lock Down Pitcher At The Deadline

Mike Bordick is a former Oriole who is now a color commentator for Orioles broadcasts on MASN.

Mike joined Ed and Steve to talk about the Orioles heading to New York to take on the Yankees.

Ed asked Mike about what he's noticed about Chris Tillman's recent performances on the mound. Mike said that Tillman "may have adjusted his position on the rubber, but it seems as though everything is more under control."

Steve asked Mike what areas the Orioles should look to address as the trade deadline approaches. Mike said that the Orioles should look to add a starting pitcher, "what we need is a lock down pitcher."

Steve asked Mike about his thoughts on potentially moving Manny Machado to shortstop in the future. Mike is very open to the idea saying, "I'd move him to short, he's just a great baseball player, he's redefining third base."

Mike touched on some surprises thus far in the MLB which included the great play of the Houston Astros, the close race in the AL East division, and the rough first half of the season for the San Diego Padres.
