Adam Jones Named Orioles' 'Heart And Hustle Award' Winner
The Orioles' center fielder and "face of the franchise" Adam Jones has been named the Orioles' 2015 Heart and Hustle Award winner by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association.
According to the Baseball Alumni, the Heart & Hustle Award is "voted on by alumni and active Major League players and is presented to an active player who demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit and traditions of the game."
Jones is a three-time recipient with the Orioles.
The MLBPAA chief executive officer Dan Foster said, "We are proud to present Adam with the Heart and Hustle Award again this year...his work both on and off the field is inspiring and embodies the spirit of this award."”
Each team has a select winner and then at the end of the season, the final winner will be announced on Nov. 10 at the 16th Annual Legends for Youth Dinner in New York.
