Ocean City's City Manager David Recor Resigns From Position

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- Officials say Ocean City's City Manager David Recor has resigned from his position after serving three years on the job.

Communications Manager Jessica Waters says Recor's resignation was announced Monday during a Town Council meeting.

Waters could not give any details about what led to Recor's decision to resign, citing his leaving is considered a personnel matter.

Officials say Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan will serve as the interim city manager in the meantime. Waters says a national search will be conducted to fill the spot permanently.

Recor served as city manager since June 2012.
