Orioles GM Dan Duquette Talks Upcoming MLB Trade

Dan Duquette is the current Baltimore Orioles General Manager. He recently joined Ken and Steve to talk about the upcoming MLB trade deadline and possible moves the Orioles could make.

Are we going to be buyers not sellers? Let's see what makes the Orioles staff so confident in our team:

Steve asked Duquette what makes him confident that this Orioles team can make a run into the postseason. He said of the Orioles, "our defense is pretty good, our pitching is pretty good, and our run differential ...is also good." With these factors in place he is confident of the O's chances down the stretch.

So what's the biggest priority is for the club to address before the trade deadline? Duquette said that "it always comes down to pitching in the playoffs." He mentioned that adding another bat in the outfield to supplement the lineup is also an area of interest. "If we can add a player or two that can strengthen our lineup and give us some added pitching depth we're not that far from executing to be back in the playoffs," he said.

Check out the full interview above to hear the guys discuss many other Orioles topics including thoughts on minor league prospects, pending free agents in the organization, the return of Nick Markakis to Camden Yards, and Pedro Martinez's Hall of Fame induction speech.
