Woman, Dog Killed In Crash Involving EMS Vehicle In Owings Mills

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (WJZ)--A 72- year-old woman and her dog are killed in a crash, involving an EMS vehicle, on Thursday in Baltimore County.

It happened along St. Thomas Lane near Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills.

Police say Delores Scott died on scene after her Honda wrapped around a utility pole.

But what's more disturbing to witnesses is that they say Scott had no way of hearing the first responder coming.

WJZ's Christie Ileto has the latest.

Horrifying images from Sky Eye Chopper 13 as video shows the victim's car wrapped around a pole.

Police say Scott's car was hit by an on duty Baltimore County first responder who was traveling to a priority call when he collided with her car.

Belma Golden details the unfolding panic.

"All I could do is pray to god and save this person's life" she said.

Police say it's still too early to tell if the EMS driver was responding with lights and sirens when he crashed with Scott.

Golden says she never heard the sirens.

The EMS driver was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities are continuing their investigation.
