Contractor Beaten, Dragged From Moving Car In North Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A contractor is beaten in broad daylight in a neighborhood in North Baltimore.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 5300 block of St. Albans Way.

Police say the contractor was unloading equipment when he noticed someone in his work van.

He then confronted two men and a woman. One of the suspects assaulted him.

The three stole property and equipment from the van and then got into a white minivan parked nearby.

The victim grabbed onto the window frame of the minivan as it was pulling away. He was dragged about 40 feet.

The contractor was hospitalized with injuries to his head and legs. He remains in good and stable condition.

The male suspects are believed to be black men in their late 20s to 40s, at least 6' tall, 220 pounds. One has short hair; the other is described as having short twists in his hair.

The female suspect is believed to be a black woman in her late 20s to 30s, about 5'10" tall, 250 to 300 pounds. She is described as having black hair with a 2 to 3 inch blonde/orange highlight in the middle.

The minivan is a white, older model with a square body style. It may be a Chrysler or Ford.
