Ten-Year-Old Little Boy Among 3 People Shot In Northwest Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A shooting in West Baltimore sends three people to the hospital, including a ten-year-old boy. The shooters are still on the loose.

Rick Ritter has the latest.

Police confirm a triple shooting along W. North Avenue near Rosedale Street.

Among the victims--a ten-year-old little boy and two adult males.

The call came in around 9 p.m. Thursday. Police responded to the scene and started canvassing the area.

Detectives found the three victims in two different locations.

All three victims were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

"At this point, we do not believe the child was targeted. But what's most important, is, unfortunately, that a child was shot in our streets tonight. And we need the public's help to find the person that's responsible," said Sgt. Jarron Jackson, Baltimore Police Department.

"We definitely need the community's help. This is a problem that takes the entire city to solve. It's not just a police problem, it's a Baltimore problem," he continued.

Police say two male suspects, believed to be wearing black clothing, are still on the loose.

The shooting comes after a homicide earlier Thursday afternoon in Brooklyn.The investigation is ongoing.
