Severn Man Accused Of Raping Woman In Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ)—A Severn man was arrested after police say he allegedly raped a woman in Annapolis.

It happened around 3:00 a.m. in Annapolis inside the bathrooms of the Harbormaster's Office located at 1 Dock Street.

According to police, the 21-year-old woman reports she was walking with a group of people when she decided to go to the bathroom. The victim says one of the men with the group followed her into the bathroom and allegedly raped her.

Police later arrested 24-year-old Michael Avram, of Severn, on charges of first and second degree rape, first and second degree assault and false imprisonment.
