Driver Indicted For Manslaughter In Crash That Killed 5

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- A man who police say was speeding when his car crashed into a vehicle stopped at a traffic light, killing five people, has been indicted for negligent manslaughter and driving under the influence.

The Prince George's County State's Attorney's office said in a news release on Wednesday that 26-year-old Kenneth Kelley of Washington was indicted on 28 counts in May. A spokesman for the state's attorney says Kelley was arrested on Aug. 30 and is being held on $500,000 bail.

Prosecutors say on Oct. 10, 2014, Kelley was driving more than 70 mph in Oxon Hill when he hit an Acura stopped at a red light.

Two women and two children in the Acura and a passenger in Kelley's car were killed.
