School Program Introduces Kids To 'Positive Side Of Law Enforcement'

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby launched a program at Franklin Square Elementary School on Wednesday to introduce fourth-graders to the criminal justice field.

Through the program, classrooms will invite a number of criminal justice professionals to meet and speak with the students throughout the year.

"I've said continually that we must get our students in the classroom, before they end up in our courtrooms," Mosby said. "I hope that these children are inspired by the professionals that will visit them over the course of the next few months."

The goal of the program is to get children interested in law enforcement careers and expose them to the positive side of the criminal justice system.
