Woman Killed In Md. Car Wreck Retired Deputy Fire Chief

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (AP) -- A woman who was killed in an early morning car wreck in Fort Washington has been identified as a retired Prince George's County deputy fire chief.

Prince George's County police say the crash occurred at about 3 a.m. on Saturday on Route 210.

Police say a car traveling southbound on Route 210 collided with another car while attempting to make a left turn onto Old Fort Road.

The victim has been identified as Carla D. Blue, who worked at the Prince George's County Fire Department for 20 years before retiring in October of 2009.

Police say the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
