WEATHER BLOG: Gorgeous Week

The models remain consistent showing strong high pressure bringing a quick clearing after the cold front passage last night and the end of any associated showers early today. It should be a nice September day today with highs approaching 80 and a pleasant breeze. It should be a great day to get outside.

On Monday, an area of low pressure offshore, will ride up the Carolina coast and bring an area of rain up out of the Carolinas towards the Mason Dixon line. Unfortunately that means we will be looking cloudier, cooler, and damp for the start of the work week. The upper trough will linger through Tuesday afternoon, keeping things cool and cloudy. On Wednesday and Thursday, high pressure over the northeast should provide for a couple of nice days, however on Friday the models aren't so sure. Just like Monday, some of the modeling is showing an area of low pressure offshore pushing an area of showers up into the Chesapeake Bay area and we may end up cloudy and damp. There's still a chance things settle down between now and then and we end up ok, but for now we are at least keeping it cloudy and throwing in a mention of rain.
