Video Released Of Baltimore Fatal Shooting

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Violent video was just released of a fatal shooting in a Baltimore alleyway. Police are now hoping the disturbing images will trigger someone's memory of who's behind the ambush.

Christie Ileto has more on the homicide investigation.

Police don't have names, just images of the two suspects. One woman told WJZ she heard the gunmen fire more than a dozen shots.

In seconds, bursts of gunfire lit up a west Baltimore alleyway. The two suspects then hastily retreated.

"What we know is that the victim, Antonio McNeil, was shot several times and died at the scene," said Detective Jeremy Silbert.

But police say the violent 25-second clip isn't enough to catch the 31-year-old's killer.

"The whole thing was just so traumatic for me," said one woman.

She spoke to WJZ anonymously, saying she heard the barrage of bullets; we showed her the surveillance video of what happened outside her window.

"Oh, Jesus Christ," she said. "I heard 17 shots is what I counted and it sounded like there were two separate guns."

Candles outline where McNeil was murdered and police say there's no clear motive right now or if he knew his attackers.

"If you see something in your neighborhood that's not right, report it," said Lisa Mills.

Mills is with Sandtown's Resident Action Committee and lives blocks from the crime scene.

"To see this crime still happening, it hurts. It's disturbing," she said. "You can't let your children go outside and play. You never know when it's going to take place."

Detectives are now asking for residents to take a closer look at these primary clues to help them piece together who are the pair pulling the triggers.

McNeil's family and friends say he had no problems with others in the neighborhood that they know of; they can't imagine why he was targeted.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-Lockup.
