Injury Report: Ravens Breshad Perriman Practicing, But Won't Play Sunday Against Bengals

 By Samuel Njoku

It's early, but the Ravens find themselves a bit banged up following a couple of games on the road. They're slowly starting to return to full strength, but there are a few players that are still a few days away from being 100 percent.

For starters, rookie WR Breshad Perriman began practicing this week for the first time since the start of training camp. Fans have been clamoring for the speedy wideout to see some action on the field and coaches have been patiently waiting as well. Perriman sprained his PCL in July and has recovered slowly. But he finally saw the practice field on Thursday, though it was on a limited basis. When asked about his status, John Harbaugh seemed as out of the loop as the rest of the public.

"It look's like he's getting close," stated Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh. "But what that means exactly, I don't know. Nobody tells me. I have no report on it. I have no information on it, because our medical people just don't know."

He's been ruled out for this game and will likely be unavailable for the Thursday night game against Pittsburgh. But a Week 5 return gives the rookie plenty of time to get healthy and catch up with the rest of the offense.

Another player who has been missing time is LT Eugene Monroe, who suffered a concussion against the Denver Broncos in Week 1. He's still in the concussion protocol and the team has given no timetable of when he may return. James Hurst did an admirable job against the Oakland Raiders, albeit in a losing effort, and will look to build upon that performance against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Another position that has been banged up recently is in the backfield. Running back Lorenzo Taliaferro is dealing with a foot injury that has made him a game-time decision. With Terrance Magee released earlier to make room for CB Will Davis from Miami, the Ravens have only three healthy running backs on the field. If he's unable to play, it will be interesting to see what avenue the team takes in that position. A roster move could be made to bring Magee back, who has yet to sign with a team following his release.

Probable:
Will Hill, S (KNEE)
C.J. Mosley,ILB (NOT INJURY RELATED)

Questionable:
Lorenzo Taliaferro, RB (FOOT)
Tray Walker, CB (THIGH)

Out:
Chris Canty, DE (CALF)
Eugene Monroe, LT (CONCUSSION)
Breshad Perriman, WR (KNEE)
