Ravens-Bengals Recap With Tony Lombardi

Tony Lombardi with the Russell Street Report joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to recap the Ravens tough loss to the Bengals. Steve Smith Sr. went absolutely wild on Sunday catching 13 balls for 186 yards and two touchdowns. Despite the huge game the Ravens still came up short. Tony talked about how the Ravens need more players to perform besides Smith, "When you think about that effort, such an inspired effort and when you can't get anything going on the ground, the Running Backs ran the ball 18 times for 15 yards. You have an offensive line that is in tatters and you have a number two reciever, Kamar Aiken, who in 46 dropbacks was only thrown to once and didn't have any catches so think about all the pressure on Steve and he still performs like that. A magnificent effort really."

Without a strong running game and a deep threat down the field; Tony talks about how the Ravens offense has become predictable. "I just watch other teams squat on the Ravens offense because there is no player that is going to stretch them vertically and because they can squat down and press coverage there's not a lot of room for those guy to navigate." It doesn't appear there will be a solution to that problem coming soon, "From what we're hearing Breshad Perriman aggrivated that knee injury warming up before the game and who knows when he will show up on the field now."
